Terms and Conditions for Window Security Film Installation Services
1. Scope of Work
LEA Repairs agrees to provide professional windows, door and window film installation services as per the agreed estimate or contract. Any modifications or additional services requested by the client may incur extra charges.
2. Estimates & Pricing
All estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
Prices are subject to change due to material costs, labour rates, or project adjustments.
Any unforeseen additional work required during installation will be discussed with the client before proceeding.
3. Payment Terms
A 25% deposit is required before scheduling the installation.
The remaining balance is due upon project completion.
Late payments may be subject to a 4% per month late fee.
4. Installation Process & Client Responsibilities
– The client must ensure clear and safe access to all installation areas.
– The company is not responsible for moving furniture, window coverings, or other obstacles unless agreed in writing.
– The client should notify the installer of any known issues with the glass, such as cracks, previous film applications, or existing damage.
5. Film Performance & Expectations
Security films are designed to enhance glass strength and safety but do not make glass unbreakable.
The effectiveness of security film depends on the type of glass, film thickness, and installation method.
A curing period of 30 days is required for the film to fully adhere. During this time, some haze or small bubbles may be visible but will dissipate.
6. Warranty & Limitations
We provide a 1-year warranty covering material defects and workmanship errors.
The warranty does not cover:
– Damage caused by improper cleaning, tampering, or third-party modifications.
– Pre-existing window defects, including cracks, scratches, or seal failure.
– Natural wear and tear, acts of nature, or vandalism.
– Thermal stress fractures that may occur due to the film application on certain glass types.
7. Cancellations & Rescheduling
Cancellations must be made in writing at least 3 days before the scheduled installation date.
Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered and processed.
Rescheduling must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.
8. Liability & Damage Disclaimer
The company is not responsible for any pre-existing glass damage that may worsen after film application.
Security film is designed to hold broken glass together but cannot prevent glass breakage under extreme force.
The company is not liable for any damage or injury resulting from unauthorized removal, improper maintenance, or misuse of the installed film.
9. Cleaning & Maintenance
The film should only be cleaned after the curing period using a soft cloth and a mild, non-abrasive cleaner.
Avoid using sharp objects, ammonia-based cleaners, or rough materials that may damage the film.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation/arbitration/court in the appropriate jurisdiction.
